BIGHIT MUSIC AUDITION Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy has been prepared pursuant to the relevant laws of the Republic of Korea.
BIGHIT MUSIC Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") values the personal information of audition applicants (hereinafter "Applicants") and complies with laws regarding the protection personal information.
The Company discloses through its Privacy Policy the purposes and methods of the use of personal information provided by Applicants and measures and actions taken to protect personal information. If the event of any changes to this Privacy Policy, the Company will announce such changes through notices on its website (or via individual notice).
1. Personal Information Collected
For purposes including audition applications and selection of successful candidates, the Company collects the following personal information:

2. Purposes of Collection and Use of Personal Information
The Company utilizes the collected personal information for the following purposes:
- Notification and disclosure of audition results and training-related matters
- Applicant identity verification and prevention of duplicate applications
- Notification of audition events
- User satisfaction Survey on the audition
- Verification of identity of legal representatives of Applicants under the age of 14
- Handling complaints and inquiries
3. Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information
In general, personal information will be promptly disposed of once the purposes of collection and use have been accomplished. However, in cases where the retention and use period consented to by the Applicant has not expired, or when required by relevant laws and regulations, the information may be retained for a certain period of time. The retention periods are as follows:
- Information retained due to the Company’s internal policies: 3 years (for the prevention and detection of misuse, notification of audition events)
- Website visit records and related logs such as access history: 3 months (Protection of Communications Secrets Act)
4. Process and Methods for Destroying Personal Information
In general, the Company will delete and destroy personal information promptly after the purposes of collection and use have been achieved. The information is destroyed according to the following procedures and methods:
The information you provide for the audition will be stored in the company’s database (or in a separate document cabinet in the case of physical documents) and retained for a certain period in accordance with internal policies and other relevant laws and regulations on personal information (refer to period of retention and use). The information will not be used for any purpose other than retention, unless otherwise required by law.
Personal information stored in electronic file format will be permanently deleted using technology that ensures the records cannot be recovered. Personal information printed on paper will be shredded for disposal.
5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
In general, the Company does not provide the Applicant’s personal information to external parties. However, in specific cases for purposes such as providing additional audition opportunities, the Company may disclose the information to domestic and overseas affiliates of HYBE with the consent of the information provider, in compliance with relevant laws and through legally prescribed procedures.

For the purposes of providing more specialized services, the Company outsources the processing of personal information to external professional agencies as indicated below. The Company takes necessary measures in accordance with relevant laws to ensure the secure management of the Applicant’s personal information.

8. Rights and exercise of rights by Applicant and legal representative
- The Applicant (and legal representative for Applicants under 14 years of age) have the right to access and request revisions to the Applicant’s personal information registered in the system at any time.
- To access or revise personal information, Applicants (or their legal representatives for Applicants under 14 years of age) can contact the Personal Information Protection Officer by email, and we will promptly take appropriate action.
- If an Applicant (or their legal representative for Applicants under 14 years of age) requests correction of any errors in their personal information, the relevant information will not be used or provided until the correction has been completed.
- Personal information deleted upon the Applicant’s request (or their legal representative for Applicants under 14 years of age) will be processed as specified in “Period of retention and use of personal information”, and it will not be accessed or used for any other purposes.
- In the event of a request for access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of information as per the individual’s rights, the Company will take steps to verify whether the individual making such a request is the actual subject of the information or a legitimate representative.
9. Installation, operation, and declining consent to personal information collection devices
Cookies are small pieces of text files that are installed onto the user’s PC by a website via the user’s Web browser when the user accesses the website. When a user revisits the website, the site server reads the contents of the cookie stored on the user’s PC to maintain the user’s settings and provide an optimal internet service environment. The user has the right to choose regarding cookies and may adjust browser settings to permit all cookies, receive prompts when cookies are installed, or refuse all cookies. However, refusing to store cookies may lead to certain limitations in service.

10. Technical/administrative measures to protect personal information
1) The Company takes the following technical measure to ensure that the Applicant’s personal information does not become lost, stolen, exposed, altered/falsified, or damaged:
- The Applicant’s personal information is protected via passwords and encrypted data. However, the Applicant’s password or personal information are susceptible to exposure through various means including accessing the Internet in public places. It is vital to take all measures to protect personal information and maintain vigilance.
Applicants are therefore strongly urged to refrain from exposing or providing their personal information to others and to responsibly manage their personal information. The Company is not liable for any issues that arise due to the personal mistakes of Applicants or the inherent risks of the internet.
- The personal information of Applicants is protected by password and encryption. Important data is protected by additional security measures by encrypting the file and data.
- The Company uses anti-virus programs as preventive measures against harm from computer viruses, and such programs are updated regularly. If a virus is detected, a vaccine is provided immediately after it is available to ensure that the system is cleansed and your personal information is protected.
- The Company utilizes safe encryption algorithms to transmit personal information over its networks.
- The Company has a breach detection and containment system that is monitored and managed 24 hours in order to prevent personal information from being divulged or damaged by hacking or a virus. Redundant attack detection and prevention systems are in place to prepare for any incident.
2) The Company acknowledges the importance of protecting the Applicant’s personal information and as such, places reasonable restrictions on employees that handle personal information. In an effort to safeguard personal information, the chief privacy officer periodically trains the employees responsible for handling privacy information. In addition, the Company regularly reviews its performance on the implementation of the commitments set out in this Policy and the compliance by relevant employees so that any breach is either remedied or improved and other necessary measures are adopted.
11. Inquiries and complaints regarding personal information

Applicants can report any inquiries or matters related to personal information that occurred during the use of the Company's service to the CPO or related departments. The Company will respond promptly to reports submitted by Applicants. Please contact the agencies listed below if you require further information or wish to report an issue related to privacy violations.
12. Policies regarding minors
When collecting personal information of children under the age of 14 years or the age of minority under applicable laws in the corresponding jurisdiction for the purposes of applying to Global Auditions, the Company takes additional measures to protect the personal information of minors as follows:
1) The Company will notify the guardian of the Company’s Privacy Policy, including the types of information collected, purposes of collection, sharing of information.
2) The legal representative will be granted access to the child's personal information / be able to revise or delete personal information / be able to suspend processing of personal information / revoke consent provided previously.
3) Collecting information beyond what is necessary for taking part in the audition will be restricted.
13. Obligation to notify
This Privacy Policy is subject to addition, deletion, or modification in accordance with government and company policy changes. Any changes to the policy will be immediately announced through the website. This policy will take effect from the effective date stated below.
